Nuad Boran (Thai Massage, Thai yoga massage) has a history of 2,500 years.
A Holistic Routine Health Maintenance Treatment for people of all ages.
Also effective in managing aches & pains.
Techniques are adaptable to varying needs of the receiver - athletes to couch potatoes, those in need of gentle handling and those who require intense deep tissue therapy.
Traditionally Thai bodywork treatments are performed on a floor mat. The client wears comfortable clothes. The "classic" traditional Thai treatment generally lasts 1.5 - 2 hours.
The client relaxes and receives. Some have described part of the treatment as yoga being done to you.
Although it is not yoga, it may assist in advancing yoga practice. And may be even more beneficial to those who feel too stiff to do yoga or neglect to exercise on their own.
The Thai practitioner's hands, feet, forearms , knees & elbows apply acupressure, reflexology, compressions, rotations, traction and appliedpassive stretching, to awaken stagnate energy, and remove negative energy from 'blocked or broken' sen meridian lines.
Causes of energetic blocks & breaks may be over or under exercise, traumas, strains, sprains, injuries, fatigue, stress—both physical & mental, poor posture, illness & disease.
Some indications for Thai massage are daily stress, Pain—acute or chronic, swelling, numbness, muscle knots, stiffness, & aches.
Stagnate & negative energy is replaced with vital energy, increased circulation of blood & lymph, flexibility & increased range of motion, grounding, balance, relaxation and improved posture.
Frees up & exercises the fascia tissue network, tones internal organs and pelvic floor, quiets the mind and shares many benefits of yoga, exercise & massage.
Excellent for active & athletic individuals. Performance training, pre-event injury protection & post event recovery.
Thai massage is a great adjunct for those undergoing detoxification programs. It assists in elimination of toxic buildup & metabolic waste in the body's tissues.
You will feel relaxed and invigorated, as if after a good healthy workout and massage.
You will breathe more fully & healthful.
